Reed Family Elephants of the Zamezi River Valley
Sedgwick County Zoo is proud to be home to the third-largest elephant habitat in the country. The Reed Family Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley habitat features more than 5 acres of sprawling outdoor space, including the world’s largest elephant water feature which holds 550,000 gallons of water. Zoo guests can enjoy a boat ride in the same water, giving them an opportunity to see the elephants from a different angle, and if they’re lucky – catch them going for a swim!

“I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being,
let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.” ~William Penn
